Due to a large increase in used car operations, Chilliwack Volkswagen is looking for a Used Vehicle Recon Specialist Technician to join our growing team

Your Key Responsibilities

Determine vehicle repair requirements
Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
Diagnose and repair vehicles
Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
Adjust or align headlights, wheels, and brake systems
Repair or replace interior components
Monitor and take part of active cleanliness of shop and equipment
Move vehicles as required for shop production
Mentor, coach, train and support the development of apprentices in the dealership
Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment

Your Capabilities and Credentials
-
A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate is required

Red Seal Certification is preferred
Knowledge of and the ability to operate machinery and tools required to complete repairs
Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power and handheld equipment
Excellent customer services skills and ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical individuals
Professional demeanour and strong work ethic
Excellent communication
Efficient problemsolving skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
High level of integrity and reliability
Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
Open to continuous learning and development
