Key responsibilities:


  • Counts and culls finished products, removing substandard pieces from the job.
  • Carries out other specialty finishing functions that may be specified for any given job.
  • Ensures the correct amount of items for each work order has been completed.
  • Does final inspection of product before packaging to insure the quality standard.
  • Informs the Supervisor about incomplete work orders and preshipping instructions.
  • Ensures that the customer specifications are met and improved upon in the production process.
  • Ensures that all work orders are processed in accordance with the specification on the process control plan and checks the docket for changes and that all work time is recorded in ShopTrak.
  • Retrieves stock items from the stock room, stores stock runs in stock room and maintains running account of finished goods inventory.
  • Spoilage levels are at or below stated company objectives and consistent with Quality Standards and good business practice.
  • Assists the supervisor and/or Lead Hand in providing estimates to the Sales Department and the Estimator.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and tidiness of department facilities.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned on the docket.
