Job Summary

The Coordination Advisor, Primary Care and Diversity, works in cooperation with the Regional Prevention and Screening Team, Manager, the Regional Primary Care Lead, and other Clinical Leads to coordinate regional cancer screening activities for Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP), Ontario Cervical Screening Program (OCSP), and ColonCancerCheck (CCC).

Qualifications:


  • Degree in a Health-Related Science, Public Health, Health Communication or Regulated Health Profession required. Master degree in a relevant focus of study is preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management and Quality Improvement preferred.
  • Professional affiliations as appropriate.
  • Three years of experience in a healthrelated field required.
  • One or more years of experience in project management including evidenced based research or evaluation required.
  • Experience in health information data analysis required.
  • Experience using data/metrics to drive Quality Improvement required.
  • Experience in delivery of patient and staff education required.
  • Experience in creating public education resources using health literacy principles required.
  • Experience with public presentations, knowledge translation, and/or community engagement required.
  • Two years of experience in health promotion and community engagement preferred.
  • Knowledge of diversity, inclusion and/or cultural competencies required; related certification(s) considered an asset.
  • Experience in creating and executing diversity and inclusion projects/programming considered an asset.
  • Two years of experience in health promotion and community engagement preferred.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, cancer screening programs; experience in a Regional Cancer Centre or within a Regional Cancer Program is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Cancer Prevention and Screening Programs is preferred.
