Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA) is looking for a Fleet Reliability Analyst This position is based out of a hanger located near the South Terminal at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.

Pacific Coastal Airlines is headquartered at the South Terminal building at Vancouver International Airport.

We fly scheduled and charter service between busy international airports, remote destinations, and beautiful communities in the provinces of British Columbia and South Alberta.

Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, Maintenance, the Fleet Reliability Analyst works closely in conjunction with the Director of QA and Technical Records.

They are responsible for the analysis and compiling of Aircraft Fleet Data for the purposes of cost saving initiatives and ongoing continuous improvements in Reliability, Performance and Safety.

This focuses heavily on the analysis of data as recorded into the company's maintenance tracking software.

The Fleet Reliability Analyst is also responsible to assist on a daily basis and provide relief coverage for Tech Records as required for the operation.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Generating Monthly Fleet Reliability Reports through analysis of aircraft defects and rectifications as recorded in company Maintenance Tracking Software.
  • Interpret data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques.
  • Present monthly Reliability Report findings to QA department, for further analysis
  • Advise the Director of QA on any noted deviation trends through Reliability Analysis
  • Ensure MELs on the fleet are kept to a minimum by implementing ongoing reliability reviews, and monitoring repeat issues
  • Generate Reports on all Grounded Aircraft away from base due to maintenance issues, focusing on defect rectification and what can be done to avoid future similar instances.
  • Generate Reports on all Return to Base events on our aircraft that are due to maintenance issues, focusing on defect rectification and what can be done to avoid future similar instances.
  • Generate Reports for all canceled flights attributed due to Maintenance
  • Tracking and trending of Failed Components on installation, and make reports on Vendor performance and reliability
  • Submission of Aircraft Occurrence Reports, Maintenance Reports and Regular Monthly Reports as required by airframe manufacturer requirements.
  • Report to the Director of QA any defects that fall within company's recurring defect criteria allowance
  • Report to the Director of QA any defects that may require Service Difficulty Reports actioned
  • Assist the QA department in continually promoting the company's Safety Management System to all maintenance staff
  • Promote a safety culture throughout the department by encouraging hazard identification and incident reporting as required by the Safety Management System
  • Assist daily as well as provide relief coverage for Technical Records Clerk during their absence
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of QA, Maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

  • Prior experience in the aviation industry, preferably in aviation technical records, maintenance, or a related field would be an asset
  • Certification and/or experience in data analytics would be an asset
  • Understanding of Transport Canada regulations and standards
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, regulations, and standards
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance reporting
  • Experience with maintenance tracking software is preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Analytical skills, with experience collecting, organizing, and disseminating abundant information accurately
  • Strong technical writing skills for creating technical documents and reports
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated through effective and professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficient with computer programs such as (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Airline Operations exposure would be an asset, in particular within a maintenance environment
  • Goaloriented and proactive selfstarter, capable of working in a team environment as well as independently, with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze data and to recommend and implement changes to optimize processes
