Job Summary

onsibilitie

s

  • General Customer Service including answering phone calls and processing orders
  • Help to maintain customer relationships and assist with new business development
  • Assist with Job specification review, quantity takeoffs, tender/bid preparation and submittal
  • Assist with Tender/bid follow up and negotiation
  • Job site inspections, visits, and sales calls
  • Batching of concrete using a computerized batching system
  • Dispatching of concrete fleet using a computerized dispatching system
  • Assistance with daily reports, scheduling, paperwork, invoicing, reconciliations, time entry and payroll administration
  • Quality control to ensure job specifications are met
  • Liaise with Fleet department and local service providers for truck breakdown and repair coordination
  • Inventory management and purchasing of special products
  • Bulk sand and stone inventory management for Ready Mix Plants
  • Possible assistance with operation of Gulf Coast Cartage trucking fleet
  • Additional duties as required

Technical Requirements

  • Technologically inclined and adept at learning new systems
  • Previous experience working with concrete or within the construction Industry would be considered an asset
  • Successful completion of a relevant postsecondary program would be an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint as well as Teams

Business Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure
  • Flexibility with work schedules with the ability to work irregular hours when required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills ensuring exceptional customer service both internally and externally
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Cultural Requirements

  • Must be willing to work out of multiple PEI locations when required
  • A selfstarter with effective organizational and time management skills, able to work well with mínimal supervision
  • Flexibility with work schedules and the ability to work irregular hours when necessary

Salary:
$60,000.00 per year
