Team Lead, Come to Work:
Contract Full-Time
Victoria, BC
CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you We are currently searching for a Team Lead, Come to Work Reporting to the Provincial Director, BC / Yukon, the Team Lead, Come to Work, will lead and empower integrated teams of staff and volunteers to deliver the Come to Work program that changes the lives of Canadians who are blind or partially sighted in the province of British Columbia.
Your impact at CNIB:
- Hiring, onboarding, and training of new hires; ensure that the Come to Work team in BC is equipped to do their best work.
- Developing, planning, and implementing the expansion of the Come to Work program in BC, adhering to national service standards while maximizing positive experiences and outcomes for participants.
- Managing the outcome evaluation process and leading and guiding the team to ensure the metrics and KPI's are met.
- Ensuring the administrative operational excellence at the regional CNIB Hub where they will be based.
Requirements:
Who you are:
- A track record of successful people management encompassing leading, managing and motivating teams of staff and volunteers
- Good relationship/team builder and networking skills with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to plan and deliver clear communications to a dispersed audience
- Working knowledge of national nonprofit organizations with a branch, region/national structure
- Effectively demonstrates understanding and championing of diversity and accessibility issues
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
- Excellent analytical, problem definition and problemsolving skills
- Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills; proactive in initiating multiple projects on an ongoing basis
- Professional attitude, results oriented, strategic and flexible
- Connections to vocational service providers in BC an asset.
- Knowledge of adaptive technology an asset
- Working knowledge of Salesforce an asset.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- 35 years' experience in program development, delivery, and implementation and/or project coordination.
- Minimum 12 years of supervisory and/or people management experience.
- Experience in building partnerships and developing agreements with companies and/or organizations
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and vision loss an asset
- Work experience in vocational field an asset
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset
Work Environment:
- Required to work in the office minimum a few days a week
- Moderate travel will be required
- Required to work flexible hours
- Able to work independently and within the team
