Beyond The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, Stampede Park hosts more than 1,200 business, tourism, sporting, hospitality, and community events every year, welcoming more than two million guests from every corner of the world.

The $500M BMO Centre expansion will be a catalyst to transform the city into a tier one convention city and provide state-of-the-art facilities for our community and guests from around the world.

Position Summary

We are looking for outgoing and positive individuals to join the Stampede team as a Security Guard Our event security team creates an exceptional experience by ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests, volunteers, and employees attending events hosted by the Calgary Stampede.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

As a security guard you will provide guests, volunteers and employees with exceptional guest services.
Maintain crowd control.
React effectively in emergency and/or demanding situations to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers, guests, livestock and property.
Provide information to guests regarding events and facilities on Park.

Qualifications

Must have a valid
Alberta Solicitor General Security License

Must have 23 years of security experience.
Must be over 18 years of age.
Must have exemplary guest service skills.
Experience with CCTV is an Asset
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) are essential in order to relay information (via radio and in person) and document incidents on Park in a timely manner.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
Able to work indoors or outdoors in all environments.
Must be reasonably physically fit and able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
Must be comfortable following directions precisely and adhering to Stampede policies and procedures.
Must be comfortable and able to work around animals, including farm animals.
