Canopy Midwives is growing again

Canopy Health is a busy North Vancouver midwifery practice that is housed in a multidisciplinary clinic with long waitlists.

We are looking for 3-4 full time midwives in an ongoing long term position.

Our team is currently a team of 4 midwives with a shared a caseload of 16-18 clients /month and ~2-5 home births per month.

In the coming months, we are building two or more teams, composed of 2-4 midwives on each team, so we can better support each other on call and for home birth back up.

We have a post partum only midwife who helps out when the team is busy at births.

We are also willing to support any solo midwives with call coverage, who may be interested in working out of Canopy.

Our team holds privileges at Lion's Gate Hospital, an extremely collaborative hospital and great relationships with our consultants, nurses, and family doctors.

Midwives are easily integrated into the unit.

We have support for planned home birth from our hospital and provide back up for our own teammates when we can, but are able to call on many Vancouver midwives or nursing colleagues when needed.

Our clinic EMR is OSCAR, while the hospital uses CERNER for which training is provided through the hospital. We have the support of an MOA.

The North Shore is a lovely urban community that is geographically small enough to get through several home visits in the morning & with great restaurants, coffee shops, and amenities.

We are home to three ski hills, tons of trails and near to the ocean for paddling and swimming.
