The Opportunity:


The
Receptionist role is a special person who is fun-loving, has a sense of humor, yet "gets the job done with a smile" attitude.

Serving the community in
POINTS WEST LIVING in STETTLER, ALBERTA.

This role is responsible for ensuring top resident care is a priority, with a high level of focus in time management.

Part Time (Days Hours per week


Skills and key deliverables that will take you further:

  • Commitment to Person Directed Care approaches and familiar with the Eden Alternative Philosophy and the Domains of Well-Being
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder relationship building skills with Residents, family members to ensure the vibrancy of our community
  • Flexible, willingness to prioritize and readjust routines, open to change for the benefit of the community
  • Answering phones, directing calls, greeting visitors, Residents and other Care Partners
  • Exhibiting excellent customer relations by being courteous, caring, understanding, compassionate and respectful to all care partners
  • Always maintains a high level of professionalism
  • Providing Community information and touring potential residents
  • Executing leases for rental suites and all requirements relating to this
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of office, nursing and housekeeping supplies
  • Running errands for business. E.g., bank, post office, grocery and drug stores etc.
  • Maintaining and updating files as required
  • Processing invoices for Residents, delivering invoices and receiving payment for the rent due
  • Tracking monthly changes for each resident invoiced
  • Receiving and processing all incoming and outgoing mail for the Community
  • Process and maintain all requirements of benefit plan and payroll forms
  • Provides recreational services as per the "Recreation Aide Care Partner Role" as required within community
  • Ensure the Emergency Management Plan is practiced and followed as required
  • Assist in care partner planning and scheduling as per budget guidelines
  • Maintain selfwellness and reduced absenteeism within the team
  • Receiving and verifying goods and services, and forwarding all invoices as per Policy
  • Responsible for petty cash and reconciliation
  • Maintain guest suite scheduling and invoicing
  • Reporting and tracking all required reports for Residents and the Employee Care Partners
  • Maintains community bulletin boards
  • Ensure care partners have access to required forms/documents
  • Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and reports as required
  • Use of the following programs: Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Adhering to Well-Being Strategies
  • Maintain confidentiality of the Community including but not limited to accountability of all care partners. Breach of confidentiality is serious and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
  • Performs other services/duties as assigned

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Administration or equivalent preferred
  • Experience as a Receptionist required
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft Teams
  • Prior to employment, obtain a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
