GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE


Reporting to the Manager of Administration, the Facilities Booking Coordinator is to perform the duties necessary to ensure the efficient programming, operation and services of all facilities encompassed within City Centre Park.

The Employee will deliver and administrate community-based recreation programs, events and services.

The Employee may be required on an ongoing basis to attend applicable training, workshops, seminars and courses at the discretion of the Employer in order to facilitate job knowledge and performance.

The Employee is expected to be a team player, provide positive leadership, and liaise between facility staff and the community.


TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop, coordinate and oversee allocation of bookings and associated contracts for facilities at City Centre Park including arenas, fields, bowling alley, meeting rooms, and other facilities and events at City Centre Park.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and related community groups.
  • Support the planning, promoting, & administration, of communitybased recreation programs, events and services.
  • Maintain familiarity with facility operating agreements and client lease and rental agreements to avoid conflicts.

departments and outside organizations and agencies.

  • Represent and deliver service excellence that is keeping within the facility's brand.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Help develop policies such as those related to rental/user fees, services, events tournaments, allocation processes and similar.
  • Work with the manager of administration to ensure agreements are kept up to date to reflect the needs of the facility with a focus on risk management.
  • Assist with promoting facilities as to maximize usage.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks including work plans, record keeping, bookkeeping and reports.
  • Mediate disputes and minimize conflicts between clients.
  • Work closely with event planning staff and client groups to support with events at the park.
  • Assist in customer service departments as needed and as time permits.
  • Comply with City Centre Park safety procedures.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS/COMPENTENCIES

  • Standard 1st Aid and Criminal Record Check
  • Valid class 5 drivers' license
  • University degree or college diploma in business, marketing, recreation programming or related field.
  • Knowledge in recreation, leisure program administration, management and delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Strategic planning.
  • Effective time management, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to propose, plan and implement policies while keeping the integrity of the company's infrastructure.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communication when dealing with other organizations.
  • Willingness to learn, grow professionally, adapt to changes and needs of the facility.

Salary:
From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • DCS / DEC (preferred)

Experience:


  • Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 2 years (required)
