We have an opportunity for a Housekeeping Supervisor, who is responsible for planning and organizing the Housekeeping team to achieve the highest standards of order and cleanliness in our community.

A working housekeeper, this role also performs a variety of housekeeping duties, laundry functions and janitorial services as required.

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that our community, which operates 7-24/365 days, is an attractive, inviting and exceptionally presented community where residents live healthy and fulfilled lives.


Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Minimum of three to five years in a supervisory/managerial role; housekeeping experience is preferred
  • Effectively plans, organizes and schedules the Housekeeping team
  • Oversees the Housekeeping team's payroll, recruitment, orientation, training, communications and performance management
  • Monitors and inspects the level of cleanliness throughout the community to ensure a consistent high standard aligned to our brand
  • Maintains and conducts regular inventories of all supplies and equipment. Assists with preventative maintenance programs
  • Performs housekeeping duties to address operational requirements and maintain exceptional standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; collaborative team player
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, scheduling/payroll systems and inventory systems

COVID-19:


During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tapestry has taken a number of significant measures to protect the health of our residents and employees, including active screening upon entry to the community. Only those individuals who are free of cold and flu symptoms and fully immunized are able to work in the community.

Single Site Order (SSO):


Under the Provincial Single Site Order (SSO), Tapestry employees may only work at another assisted living, long-term care or mental health facility that is located within the "Urban Cluster" (Richmond, Vancouver, the North Shore and Squamish) as defined by the BC Ministry of Health.

Tapestry employees are required to disclose secondary employment.

Experience:


  • Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
