Description

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and checkin patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the office calendar efficiently
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients
  • Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and followup appointments as needed
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Assist the dentist or healthcare provider during procedures as requested
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting preferred
  • Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of dental procedures
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes

Salary:
$16.75-$21.00 per hour

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
