Job Summary


Under direct supervision, develops and demonstrates the skills necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and rebuild production and associated machinery.

Job Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic problems and expedite repairs.
Develop your skills and progress to increasingly more complex maintenance tasks and the duties of a licensed millwright.

Follow the maintenance schedule to reach the production goals by following the proactive maintenance systems of machine rebuilds, value added PM's, 'fix it before it breaks' strategy and continuous improvements.

Perform proper documentation and communication of work performed in SAP for compliance and contribute to root cause analysis of equipment.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and acceptable industry practices to develop basic electrical and strong mechanical trouble shooting.
Assist in Production Technician training, related to equipment set up and maintenance.

Learn and perform machining requirements, which include the proper use of lathes, mills, surface grinders, drill press, welding and brazing equipment and other machine shop related practices.

Set up equipment when required.
Work in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent education. College diploma in a technical related program preferred.
Successful and continual completion of technical aptitude assignments and eligible for a Millwright apprenticeship program.
Direct hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to work within a team environment (as part of a team) as demonstrated through previous experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proactive by nature and self-motivated.
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements, as related to pharmaceuticals is beneficial.
