About the Position:
The Applications Development Coordinator works closely with the Product Delivery Manager, Technology, Technology Solutions Manager, Team Leader, development team and stakeholders to plan, execute and deliver software development projects.
The role will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality specifications.
In addition, the role is responsible for inputting and analyzing production and quality metrics to maintain project completion velocity and understanding the business cases and priorities behind development requests.
Planning and Prioritization- Identify metrics and provide regular updates on the status of development activities, incidents, and other events that had an impact on system performance and availability
- Identify deliverables and milestones, activities, dependencies, sequencing and time estimates, and mitigate impediments to successful team completion of release goals
- Direct software development workflow and bug resolution
- Input and validate Timesheet hours (including absence, vacation etc.) of the respective projects and team members to meet corporate requirements
- Prepare monthly reports on capacity, completion and resources
- Attend Steering Committee meetings to understand high level business goals
- Attend Scrum meetings for the purpose of directing activity priorities and reporting on progress
- Ensure quality outcomes through Code quality/security assurance and promoting collaboration and engagement.
- Coordinate appropriate infield user acceptance testing activities where required.
- Coordinate releases among the Development team with the respective Product Owner and Tester.
- Coordinate Release Notes / Release Announcements
- Create a high performance, quality focused team with a strong culture and respect for each other.

- Ensure the teams understand their impact to customer through their contributions to the enhanced product experience.
- Mentor others in specific technologies, languages, and frameworks.
- Encourage successful team completion of release/sprint goals.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think strategically;
- Able to work under pressure within tight timeframes and deadlines;
- Demonstrated experience motivating teams to produce quality solutions within defined timeframes and simultaneously managing several projects;
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scope in a crossfunctional environment;
- Strong business acumen in managing costs, developing business cases, and delivering cost effective solutions;
- Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity and ability to problem solve;
- 35 years success as an IT project manager preferred
- PMP certification an asset
- Strong Experience in leading and managing across various projects and crossfunctional teams
- An ability to work on multiple projects in a multitasking, high pressure environment.
- Strong Project Management skills, including managing project scope, time, cost and quality
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, Iterative, and Hybrid software development methodologies
- Strong Understanding of IT SDLC (IT project delivery) to an extent to be able to communicate effectively with Dev, QA, BA, and Production support teams/resources.
- Hands on expert level experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and other project management tools
- Experience working with Microsoft DEVOPS/Visual Studio Team Services an asset.
