Description
Are you a nurturing and responsible individual looking for a full-time nanny position in Peace River, Alberta? Our loving family is seeking a reliable and experienced nanny to care for our special needs primary school-aged child. This position is available as both live-in or live-out, depending on your preference.The ideal candidate should be willing to assist with all aspects of care for our non-verbal child with developmental delays, including all day-to-day regular tasks such as bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene, feeding, playing, learning, etc. The candidate must also be willing to perform some minor housekeeping, meal preparation, and although there are pets in the home, we don't really require pet care. There are 2 other children in the home. One requires no care as they are old enough to look after themselves. One is younger than our child with disabilities so will still need to be cared for in the pickup and drop-offs at school aspect.
A criminal record check with the vulnerable sector screening is a requirement. Intermediate First Aid with CPR certification is an asset.
The position will be considered a hybrid position. Most weeks will consist of Monday to Friday consecutively. We require care for our child prior to school including drop offs and care after school including pick ups. Care will also be required for the entire days of school holidays and PD days. Some evenings and weekend care will be required but the schedule will be determined on an as needed basis.
There is potential for the nanny to work another part time position between school hours. However, that work schedule must work around our childcare needs.
Our family is offering $16.50 hourly as compensation. Live-in will include all food and accommodations.
