BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE:

The Sales Representative will be responsible to drive Sales for all SIPCO products across Canada and the US.

This will be accomplished by visiting clients in person and virtually on a regular basis, building and maintaining relationships as well as seeking out new opportunities for growth.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for executing SIPCO's sales plan for all segments of the market including distribution, retail, and end-consumer.

Hunter Mentality Required.


DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales_

  • Provides outstanding customer service to retailers, distributors, and endusers.
  • Visits retail and commercial clients frequently to provide education, support, generate demand, set up trials, and take orders.
  • Must build strong and meaningful relationships with channel partners to lead to sales.
  • Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer on new product developments through sharing critical market intelligence for industry advancements and trends.
  • Contributes to the leads/sales pipeline on a weekly basis.
  • Frequent overnight travel ranging from 115 days per month to attend industry events, tradeshows, and retail, distributor, and endconsumer visits.
  • Executes product knowledge sessions with store staff members, distributors, and endusers.
  • Communicates directly with retailers and growers, provides samples for testing, collects data, photos, and testimonials for R&D and future marketing purposes.
  • Inputs all sales meetings, calls, and activities to the CRM daily.
  • Works effectively and relates well with others exhibiting a professional manner while striving to maintain constructive working relationships.
  • Communicates and works with various SIPCO departments as needed.
  • Consistently embodies and models SIPCO corporate values.

Quality / ISO_

  • Works in an ISO 9001 certified company and complies with all applicable ISO 9001 requirements including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and quality assurance measures.
  • Identifies nonconformances, initiates, and resolves NCR's.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • A University degree or college diploma in sales, marketing, or agriculture is preferred.
  • Progressive experience of at least 3 years in Sales is a must.
  • Knowledge of hydroponics, indoor and traditional/mainstream growing systems, gardening practices and methods is required.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Highly evolved customer service skills.
  • Effective presentation and public speaking.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Must be able to travel to the United States.
  • Own reliable vehicle.
  • Valid driver's License.
