    Opportunity Overview:

    • We are seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join our dedicated team.
    • This role is ideal for a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant or Tax Manager with a strong background in specialized tax areas.
    • Our practice provides a wide spectrum of tax and succession planning services, including estate & trust compliance, personal and corporate tax planning, transactions related to the purchase and sale of private businesses, estate planning, and corporate reorganizations.
    • Candidates with expertise in any of these fields are encouraged to apply.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review complex corporate and personal tax returns, including terminal, estate, and trust returns, along with various information forms.
    • Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax issues to both internal team members and external clients.
    • Draft tax memoranda and client letters, offering opinions on diverse tax matters.
    • Drive the planning and execution of tax and estate strategies and corporate reorganizations.
    • Engage with tax authorities regarding audits and appeals.
    • Commit to ongoing professional development in tax legislation and case law.
    • Mentor, train, and supervise junior tax professionals.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • CPA (CA/CGA/CMA) designation is a must.
    • At least three years of public accounting experience, with a focus on specialized tax areas.
    • Participation in the CICA In-Depth Tax Program, either completed or currently enrolled.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • A keen eye for detail and a proven track record of managing and mentoring junior staff.
    • Team player with the ability to also work independently.
    • Knowledge of Caseware, TaxPrep, CCH IntelliConnect, and Microsoft Office is beneficial.

    Benefits

    Position Details:

    • Full-time role reporting to the Senior Tax Manager.
    • Leadership responsibilities for a team of 5.
    • Salary range: $95,000 to $125,000.
