Payroll Specialist (18-Month Contract)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring timely resolution of Employee payroll, benefit and system inquiries of high quality,
- Manage relationships with 3rd party providers
- Input new hires in the payroll system
- Drafts correspondence
- Prepares and issue ROEs, and respond to CRA inquiries.
- Handles salaried and hourly payroll for designated divisions
- Prepares year end reporting (T4's, T2200's)
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- At least three to five years' experience in a Payroll or related role in a multijurisdictional payroll environment.
- Professional proficiency in payroll concepts, compliances, practices, and procedures is essential, as is a professional Payroll Certification or commitment to obtain one.
- Diploma or degree in Canadian Payroll Administration or a related field and a High School Diploma or equivalency is also required.
- Two years' experience with SAP in the areas of transaction management, payroll processing, running reports, and translating results tables is essential.
