    GENERAL FUNCTION
  • The Market Specialist Supervisor is responsible for managing the Canadian based Market Specialist field team as well as all activities relating to the promotion, merchandising and sellthrough of EssilorLuxottica brands within the assigned territory. The Market Specialist is responsible for effectively selling all EssilorLuxottica products & promoting the EssilorLuxottica brand image to Account Sales Associates, management, and consumers.
    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for meeting sales goals & objectives for EssilorLuxottica brands within the assigned territory through active promotion.
  • Develop strong working relationships with external account partners, management & account personnel.
  • Plan and execute special store events, maximize opportunity for continued growth, presence, and sales.
  • Keep current and knowledgeable of all EssilorLuxottica products, services, promotions, advertising, and competitive offers to facilitate sales efforts.
  • Provide all customers with professional, personalized customer service to further promote and increase awareness of all EssilorLuxottica bra
  • Ensure optimal product placement within territory accounts with external partners by maintaining & offering up to date visual tools.
  • Set standards, train, & develop the field team to ensure performance & policy expectations are met.
  • Ensure that all service & merchandising standards are met by the team.
  • Manage a strategic calendar planning schedule with field team to ensure all business needs are being met productively.
  • Conduct product training seminars for Account Sales Associates, OD's, ECP's to ensure partners are knowledgeable of all EL's collections, products, marketing, and merchandising standards.
  • Take lead of securing Trade Marketing assets for ISS needs when required in alignment with Sr. Manager.
  • Proactively plan group calls with the Trade Marketing team to align with project needs.
  • Communicate with Sr. Manager & Account Manager on territory needs and development.
  • Provide biweekly recaps to Account Managers.
  • Act as an EL point of reference for client feedback and needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in business management with concentration in marketing and/or merchandising.
  • 35 years' experience in management, customer service, merchandising, sales, and retail.
  • Must be able to travel within assigned territory.
  • Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation & analytical skills.
  • Independent and selfmotivated.
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with digital photography.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business Management, Marketing and/or Merchandising.
  • Fashion and/or Optical Industry experience.
  • Strong Sales and management background.
  • Retail experience within Department store/Boutique setting.
