Bilingual Account Manager - Pulp and Paper


Reports to:
Canadian Regional Manager


Reporting to the Director of Sales your role as an Account Manager will be part of the sales group for the Canadian region for the province of Quebec.

Your key responsibilities will be to identify sales opportunities and create sales plans that focus on existing key accounts, target accounts and new product development.

This role will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies, and function as a member of the team for your specified territory/key account(s).


Within this role it is expected that you have and maintain current industry and market knowledge and trends to proactively manage and meet customer needs, while also finding and developing new customer relationships.

Responsibility will include the management of current and prospective customers needs in maximizing profitable sales.


Job Responsibilities/Duties:


  • Focus on business fit and customer selection, conduct high level business presentations, close strategic business opportunities
  • Own customer relationships regardless of supply chain path, provide field sales support and strategically grow share of wallet
  • Understand and work to minimize and manage channel conflict effectively.
  • Help to communicate and implement policy, product, or procedural changes with customers.
  • Maintain price discipline
  • Consistent use of Salesforce to communicate market information and updates.
  • Collaborate with management, sales operations, customer service, and marketing to address customer and target account needs
  • Develop, maintain and enhance existing and new relationships with major customers and key account stakeholders
  • Create and implement sales plans targeting key accounts, target accounts and new product development/entry for your assigned territory/account
  • Establish, develop and maintain detailed knowledge on current customers, prospective customers and market industry trends
  • Maintain customer site visits and communication to ensure bestinclass relationship management and customer satisfaction
  • Execute sales strategies to achieve targets, plans and goals for your territory.
  • Conduct customer presentations and meetings through all levels (sales to management) of your customer base.
  • Display an imaginative and consistently productive approach in all manner of competitive conditions, establishing and providing creative solutions to customers needs

Required Professional Experience/Qualifications:


  • You have a minimum of 57 years of successful sales experience
    in a similar or related company/industry:
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience
  • The ability to travel is required
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English

Preferred Professional Experience/Qualifications:


  • Understands manufacturing, print, converting equipment and trends
  • CRM knowledge and experience (i.e. Salesforce)
