OVERVIEW:


Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position requires interaction with all areas of the business including Residential and Commercial Fuel sales but with a primary focus on the Quickie Retail business.

The role is responsible for driving retail sales, building brand awareness, driving online engagement, and building an online community.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports all aspects of retail promotions online and in-store through the development of strong digital content.

Build brand personality with social content managing the company's online presence, including websites content, social media, and online advertising campaigns plans designed to drive awareness and increase the digital community.

This may or may not include working with 3rd party providers such as agencies and Avida.

Supports the Retail Marketing Specialist by cross-train on key vendor promotional programs and retail events.


This role will be ROI focused, always looking to add customer value through effective marketing programs including but not limited to customer contesting and all the steps to execute legal consumer contests.


JOB DUTIES:


Communications

  • Responsible for quarterly digital content plans including creative and copywriting along with securing all stakeholder approvals.
  • Assists Marketing Director with any other internal/ external communications when required including but not limited to company newsletter, press releases and retailer communications.
  • Act as the marketing point of contact to Avida and any thirdparty digital agencies.

Marketing

  • Responsible for the coordination and execution of quarterly online social and web content plans.
  • Bring the retail experience to life online and communicate Quickie retail value propositions and instore promotions.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of all customers facing digital content.
  • Support Retail Marketing Specialist at all Quickie events including but not limited to the annual retail trade show, and store opening both online at act as an event planning and execution event team member.
  • Works with the leadership in Residential and Commercial business units to implement marketing and advertising campaigns that supports their growth objectives. Manages and in both official languages.
  • Works with Executive team to execute all community support involvement including but not limited to, overseeing fundraising sponsorships and publishing community involvement online.
  • Tracks and adjusts marketing tactics in conjunction with Retail Category Managers and Operational teams.
  • Where sales reporting is available, analyze the results of marketing activities to drive sales and brand awareness, constantly adjusting to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Use Tableau data to develop suggestive selling opportunities online ad instore on the Avida digital screens.
  • Participate in the development quarterly customer surveys designed to gather important customer data that will inform customer personas and shopping behaviour.

Brand Management

  • Manage the brand standards across a portfolio of brands to ensure consistency throughout all aspects of implementation. Works with 3rd parties to maintain relevancy in the market and ensure the Copyright legal firms to ensure trademarks are maintained.

EDUCATION AND SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:


  • Postsecondary degree in Marketing, Advertising and/or Communications.
  • 4+ years' marketing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate multifaceted marketing programs with key stakeholders in an effective manner.
  • Must be motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


  • Experience in retail marketing is an asset
  • Strong caption and blog writing skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams.
  • Must have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Canva or Illustrator and all social platforms.
  • French verbal and written communication skills is an asset.
  • Must be willing to work from home and/or the office in a hybrid work setting.
