The Supervisor, Maintenance will provide direction to a team of technical maintenance staff and contractors to ensure high quality standards of operations are met while employing a supportive service delivery model that meets and exceeds the needs of schools in the district.

The Supervisor will assist the Regional Manager with the evaluation of system needs, the establishment of system-wide standards, school repair/improvement priorities, school building renewal plans and support long-range planning and development.

The Supervisor will work collaboratively as a member of the management team and reports directly to the Regional Manager, Operations Services.


Qualifications:


  • Completion of a college or university program in a discipline related to the operation and/or maintenance of facilities (i.e. Journeyperson Certification), or equivalent training and experience;
  • Minimum five years' experience working in the operation and/or maintenance of facilities;
  • Valid Nova Scotia driver's license and excellent driving record;
  • Experience supervising employees in an operations/maintenance environment;
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, including; Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Experience working in a unionized environment considered an asset;
  • Project Management certification and experience considered an asset.

Salary:


This is a Professional Employees Group (PEG) position on the NCR 8 salary scale with an annual range of $64, $85, Professional Employees Group (PEG) Terms and Conditions of Employment apply.
