Grill Cook/line Cook - Calgary, Canada - Modern Steak
Description
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with line cooks and other kitchen staff to coordinate meal production.
- Read recipes and follow directions to make food.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Complete the daily restaurant inspection checklist.
- Use a stove top to cook food.
- Use a deepfryer to cook food.
- Work in a fastpaced dishwashing station.
- Prepare salads, soups, breads, and side dishes.
- Prepare soups, stocks, sauces, pastas, vegetables, and other foods for cooking or serving.
- Transfer cooked food from the grill or oven to other work areas.
- Trim meats of fat or connective tissue.
- Cut steaks to company specs
- Clean work stations used for processing meats or poultry.
- Inspect meats to ensure they are properly cooked and stored correctly.
- Remove excess fat from the grinder.
- Grind meat using sharp blades attached.
Salary:
From $18.00 per hour

Experience:
- line cook: 2 years (preferred)
Grill Cook: 3 years (preferred)
