    General
    A sixty (60) hour per pay period, Part-TimePermanentRegistered Nurse (RN) position is being offered in the Radiant Care Pleasant Manor Nursing department. The start date of this position is to be determined.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to,

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse with current CNO registration
  • Current CPR certification
  • A member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Training and education in caring for seniors in long term care and Dementia Training
  • Demonstrated Leadership Qualities
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation RAI/MDS
  • Computer literate

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

  • Provides nursing care in accordance with administrative policies, physician's
    orders, established standards and nursing principles
  • Develops and maintains current individual resident care plans through
    interdisciplinary care conferences and care planning
  • Maintains accurate and complete clinical records on all residents according to
    established documentation policies and procedures
  • Ensures proper recording and safe keeping of all drugs including controlled
    drugs and narcotics
  • Ensures strict confidentiality of all records and reports as required by the
    Ministry guidelines and in accordance with CNO documentation standards
  • Monitors and controls, requisitioning of drugs and narcotics
  • Assists with new resident admissions and orientation
  • Responsible for the preparation of daily duty assignment and re-allocation of
    staff to meet resident care plans
  • Monitors supplies and equipment to ensure appropriate usage and elimination
    of waste (TM: Done by ADOC)
  • Liaise with Food Services/Dietary, Therapeutic Recreation, Supporting
    Housing, as required
  • Organizes and assists with annual resident clinics (i.e. Eye, Foot, etc. TM
    Only)
  • Responsible for all notifications, documentation and medical records are
    completed in the event of a resident death
  • Attends Annual / Admission Review Conferences
  • Other duties as assigned by the DOC / ADOC
