The Role:

Pontosense is at a growth point where sales and projects have soared.

We're rapidly expanding and are looking for a critical pillar who can further develop the foundation for scaling our business globally.

We need you to help us continue and accelerate that trend.

As a
Business Development Manager, you will work directly with the CEO to connect Pontosense to new clients, partners, and global market opportunities, leading to revenue generation.

The business development function is more than just sales - the relationships created with partners to spread our messages globally and integrate our smart sensing technology globally.


Core responsibilities:


  • Develop partnerships directly with valued clients and partners while managing their accounts and determining their needs and requirements
  • Become a product expert you will need to use and understand our products to develop a better understanding of what our clients value
  • Communicate with and present at all stages of the sales cycle to increase our value to current clients while attracting new ones
  • Help to create a system and process to facilitate future company growth
  • Grow a pipeline for sales prospects
  • Join virtual and onsite conferences to generate leads and revenue
  • Works directly with the CEO to achieve client targets

Recommended profile:


  • 2+ years of industry experience (preferably in a customerfacing role), business development experience is a bonus
  • Confident in presenting and guiding meetings with senior executives from F500 companies
  • Expert communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Expert PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office tools (e.g., excel, word)
  • Ability to prioritize competing needs and have strong problemsolving skills
  • A critical thinker and datadriven when managing client pipelines
  • A solid set of interpersonal skills; high EQ, positive attitude, and a team player
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering or business degree is a bonus)

Salary:
$90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location:
Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
