The Program Manager of Addition and Mental Health for Adult Community (Leduc, Sherwood Park, Northgate, East Edmonton, Northeast Edmonton, and Addiction Services Edmonton) will provide inspired leadership and administrative oversight to their programs that are inclusive of the three streams of service - addiction, mental health & concurrent disorders.

Through their strategic leadership and commitment to continual quality improvement, the Program Manager will ensure that citizens of greater Edmonton, with a need for adult community services, will receive safe, high quality, integrated, evidence informed & recovery oriented acute Addiction & Mental Health care in a seamless and timely manner (meeting the expectations of right care at the right time in the right place by the right provider).

Working with other Adult Community Program Managers, Covenant Health colleagues, physician leaders, patients and their families and other zone partners, the Program Manager will be expected to standardize adult community procedures and protocols alongside of two other Program Managers within this portfolio to ensure standardization across the zone is achieved in accordance with the Addiction & Mental Health Principles of Care.

In order to ensure that this occurs, the Program Manager will see that all staff in the programs receive on-going training and competency development.

The Program Manager will be the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders; will ensure that clinical and accreditation standards are maintained; and that the services within this program are delivered along a continuum based on the needs of service users.

In collaboration with the Information, Evaluation and Professional Practice portfolio, the Program Manager will also be responsible for program evaluation and assessing both the effectiveness and efficiency of services.

The Program Manager will be involved in policy development both for his/her own services but also for the Addiction and Mental Portfolio.

The Program Manager will provide financial oversight of the programs' budgets and along with his/her Business Advisor, ensure that financial resources are used responsibly and that there is accountability related to expenditures.

Required Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in a health-related field. 5 (five) years' experience in a leadership position. Experience in working with Addiction and Mental environments. Current registration with professional association (if applicable). Knowledge of the three streams and best practices related to same. Demonstrated leadership skills. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
