THE ROLE:

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Coordinate and support the design and continuous improvement of our PI system by gathering requirements from, and liaising with, key stakeholder groups throughout the development process
  • Provide development and enhancements to PI Vision screens and PI AF to meet stakeholder requirements and to solve business problems
  • Provide management and oversight of our PI System Integrator by managing issues/cases in our agile issue tracking system; working with stakeholders to determine overall priority of PI related tasks; monitoring and managing the health and overall performance of our PI system; and managing progress on development items while providing timely status updates to all stakeholders
  • Develop, maintain and support integrations between PI and other 3rd party systems
  • Work with our IT and OT teams to troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, PI governance structure and templates
  • Manage and coordinate system upgrades when new releases become available.
  • Develop relationships with external stakeholders to monitor industry best practices, trends and new offerings in the PI space

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Postsecondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or technical certificate in Computer Engineering Technology or Computer Technology is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with PI Systems preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong Knowledge of PI System architecture and data flow including updating and load balancing
  • Knowledge of PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Interface, PI Vision configurations
  • Understanding of SQL and general database concepts (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Past experience with PI implementation projects in the Oil & Gas industry is an asset
  • Detailed knowledge of the following systems is considered an asset: Seeq, Maximo, SCADA, PVR, Value Navigator, Harmony
  • Experience with database management systems, SQL and building Microsoft Power BI visualizations to meet end user need
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills required, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Independent selfstarter and a strong team player who is motivated and excels in a challenging, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours in support of operational changes and issues
