  • We are currently looking for a

Corporate Tax Associate to join our corporate tax team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Tax you will be responsible for supporting Canadian tax compliance, reporting, and planning procedures for a multi-level corporate structure. As a Corporate Tax Associate you will:

  • Assist with preparing tax accounting calculations for Canadian operations;
  • Assist with preparing forecast, budget, and longterm plan tax estimates for Canadian operations;
  • Assist with preparing and efiling Canadian tax returns;
  • Verify tax assessments;
  • Assist with preparing responses to tax authority requests (as required);
  • Liaise with internal business units and assist in providing tax support services;
  • Perform basic tax research; and
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance of Canadian and International tax planning (as required).

What skills will make you successful?

  • You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field;
  • A minimum of 1 year of financial accounting experience;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in particular);
  • You have excellent communication skills and are detailoriented;
  • You have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines (when required);
  • You are analytical and enjoy being challenged and solving problems;
  • You are a collaborative and dependable team player who can effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities
