Senior Operations Manager
Richmond B.C.

Full-time, Permanent

We are an eCommerce fulfillment company serving small, medium and enterprise level on-line sellers.

We have experienced 300%+ growth in the last year and have created a new leadership position to strengthen and enhance our management group.

We are well positioned to exploit the continuing expansion of eCommerce and online sales.

As such, you will have _
sole_ responsibility over the operations of this location, which is part of a network of 10 locations in North America.


The Challenge Ahead:


You are a proven leader/team builder, able to manage operational processes in a high velocity order fulfillment environment under tight SLA's (1000s of orders,1 day turn).

You are experienced in lean warehouse management techniqes, J.I.T.

supply chain and able to build an organization that is capable, adaptable, and responsive to the growth needs of the business.

This is a hands-on leadership role - not a desk job.


The Impact of the Senior Operations Manager:

  • Act as the operational and values-aligned glue across the organization
  • Provide clear leadership with a clear compass that anticipates the requirements 48 hours, 1 week and 1 month ahead.
  • Beats the organizational drum, ensuring a collective pace across the teams to meet the production goals
  • Provides clear accountability to direct reports
  • Is a consistent force of good judgement and planning to continue to grow the organization

What the Senior Operations Manager:


  • Own the operational effectiveness across fulfillment operations, warehouse and inventory operations, logistics and quality ensuring the teams have programs and processes implemented to support growth (Lean, JIT, etc.).
  • Oversee endtoend Supply Chain from forecasting to fulfillment, including reverse logistics as well as supplier development and management.
  • Owns the P&L and brings a strong commercial sensibility to decisionmaking
  • Comfortable and able to invest in a solid understanding of a classe leading WMS.
  • Facilitate an environment that fosters strong team dynamic through success recognition, team empowerment, active coaching, staff education, and project orientation. Ensure all tools and resources are provided to the team members.
  • Develop production planning, inventory management, and supplier capacity management to ensure optimum and costeffective product availability.
  • Utilize market data and quality standards for production planning, demand planning/forecast management.
  • Lead the procurement team in negotiations with major vendors and build relationships with key suppliers.
  • Work with various teams to develop and report against metrics.
  • Proactively identify and forecast issues.

  • Warehouse and Inventory
  • Fulfillment and Returns
  • Customer Success Group

Your Track Record will Include:


  • A broadly experienced, handson leader in a dynamic, high paced Operations situation and Supply Chain preferably in a JIT environment where nimble is a core value.
  • Leading a workforce of predominantly semiskilled ESL workers,
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, entrepreneurial environment, and able to move your team from an environment of ambiguity to structure.

Experience:


  • Leadership: (not to be confused with Management) 5 years (required)
Supply Chain Management: 5 years (required)
Operations Management: 5 years (required)


Salary:
$80,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
