Reporting to the Materials Superintendent, the General Supervisor, Warehouse is responsible for supporting all mine site warehouses in optimizing warehousing objectives and ensuring overall effectiveness and efficiency in materials and service deliveries.

This position will lead all aspects in the compliance of warehouse policies and procedures, timely availability of parts and support implementation of vision and mission of Materials Shared Services.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong problem solving and decision-making abilities, a self-motivated individual who will thrive in a fast-paced environment with mínimal direction, but also works well collaborating with a team.

This person must be organized and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities:

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Lead and supervise daily Warehouse Supervisors and operations by ensuring job expectations are clearly articulated and personnel are held accountable, develop workable plans, and procedures, and coordinating work assignments ensuring daytoday preventive and corrective maintenance is maintained
Administer the collective agreement and participate in all aspects of the Union and Management relationship
Develop annual budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions for operational strategies
Collaborate and develop relationships across all mine sites to ensure effective communication and teamwork
Ensures that all appropriate safety and compliance related regulations and training occurs within the Warehouse Supervisor team
Participate in Warehouse Supervisor development by conducting coaching, training, and proficiency development, and mentoring and empowering staff throughout all Warehouse functions
Act as the coordinated lead for department standards and implementation for all site Warehouse Operations

Qualifications:

Journeyperson ticket, related technical diploma, or industrial Warehouse Certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Supply Management experience would be considered an asset
Minimum five years' experience supervising and leading a team or as a second level supervisor
Proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite:
Excel, Word, Outlook
