This is a full-time, permanent position to fulfill the role of Digital Media and Signage Manager at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC).

This position will be responsible for management and delivery of event branding and advertising opportunities, both event related and third party, with particular emphasis on our digital media assets.

This role will also be responsible for evolving opportunities to increase the digital media experience for the events that occur in the MTCC.

This position is within the Technology Services Department and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.


Job Description:


Currently the MTCC has digital signs outside of each meeting room (70), general information signs located throughout the facility (30), external marquee signs at both major entrances as well as large format digital wall displays to provide a heightened branding and digital experience.


These signs are used to provide specific information about the events in the building, event branding/ sponsorship opportunities, general MTCC facility information, and third-party advertising.

As digital media is becoming more integral to events, there is an opportunity to expand these services to the benefit of our customers and the MTCC.


Combining these emerging digital media opportunities with non-digital media provides the MTCC and our customers with the ability to promote brand awareness.

Job Skills and Requirements

The focus of the Digital Media and Advertising Sales Manager is:

Client Interaction:
Act as the main point of contact for clients in understanding and meeting their digital media needs. Develop customer awareness of opportunities to brand their event and drive sponsorship.

Sales Collaboration:
Work closely with the Sales and Event Coordination teams to market and sell digital space effectively.

Event Branding:
Manage event branding and advertising from the MTCC perspective, ensuring alignment with event themes and goals.

Business Development:
Establish and enhance relationships with new and existing customers, sell services, and develop service delivery agreements.

Pricing and Policies:
Set pricing for special requests and manage policies regarding the use of digital signs.

Content Management:
Create templates and schedules where required. Manage media content for digital signage across the convention center. Aide event management teams with scheduling and data entry concerns.

Quality Assurance:
Oversee the quality and process improvement of digital signage offerings to enhance user experience and functionality.

Maintenance:
Coordinate with IT team to maintain the digital signage devices for optimal performance.

Service Management:
Ensure service levels are met and conduct quality assurance with customers and advertisers.

Issue Resolution:
Serve as the primary liaison for issues management, ensuring timely resolutions and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Advertising and Trends Monitoring:
Manage existing advertising relationships and monitor usage trends to identify expansion opportunities.

Strategic Planning:
Set annual business goals and manage the budget for digital media operations.


Specific skill requirements for this position include:

Relationship Building:
Ability to develop and coordinate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the convention, trade show, and meeting business.

Digital Media Expertise:
Strong understanding of digital media technology and advertising management.

Sales and Promotion:
Experience in selling and managing advertising, with a focus on promotional services.

Creative Design:
Understanding of creative layouts and user experience design.

Technology:
Understanding of devices, networks and software required to deliver digital signage

Customer Service:
A strong commitment to excellent customer service.

Communication:
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.


Experience:
At least five years
