    The Senior Tax Manager plays a critical role in providing expert tax advisory and compliance services to our clients, while also leading and mentoring a team of tax professionals. Your in-depth tax knowledge, exceptional leadership abilities, and dedication to client service will be vital to our firm's success and your career.

    Specific role responsibilities:

    Client Service

    · Provide expert tax advice and strategic planning to a portfolio of clients, addressing their specific tax needs and helping them achieve their financial goals.

    · Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, consulting, etc.

    · Research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients and take the lead on the preparation of complex tax returns.

    · Collaborate on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between the client and the service team while managing the risk for both the client and the firm.

    · Build relationships to ensure excellent client service through an integrated service approach.

    Tax Compliance

    · Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

    · Review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards.

    · Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax-related work products and services.

    · Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends. Conduct research to analyze and interpret complex tax issues, providing innovative solutions to clients and training for team members.

    · Ensure that the firm and its clients are in compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

    Firm/Brand Development

    · Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, exceptional client service, and a deep understanding of their needs.

    · Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and participate in business development efforts to attract new clients to the firm.

    · Drive growth and profitability of industry/specialty area by generating new revenue on existing client portfolio, cross-selling, and new clients for the tax practice.

    · Lead, and cultivate business relationships of complex engagements with a focus on high-value quality tax advice and seek to expand services to clients.

    Leadership

    · Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance on technical matters, fostering professional growth, and ensuring quality control in tax services.

    · Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, meeting deadlines and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.

    Requirements for Success

    · Holds CPA designation in good standing

    · Completion of CPA In-depth tax program

    · 7+ years post In-depth in a tax advisory capacity

    · Working knowledge of GAAP/GAAS, ASPE, and expert knowledge of Canadian Taxation

    · Knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView,

    · In-depth knowledge of tax preparation and tax research software

    · Demonstrated superior relationship and leadership skills

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal with the ability to liaise with senior client representatives

    · Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relations

    · Strong project management skills
