Job Summary:
As a Project Administrator - Locates, you will provide technical and/or management support for locates and permits.

You will assist the operations staff with implementing project and divisional management plans so that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage and prioritize daily locating tasks for both internal and external requests within the system
  • Enter locate requests into the Ontario One Call system for every project.
  • Compile final locate packages and permits for each Ontario One Call request.
  • Monitor and address delayed locates by contacting the relevant utility company, ensuring compliance with the prioritized timelines mandated by the Ontario Government.
  • Examine the existing job log and address any gaps in the life cycle, such as missing permits or locates.
  • Supports Project coordinator to ensure enough locates are available to schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Telecommunication experience is an asset
  • Minimum 2 year of experience in an administrative support role for a telecommunications contract
  • Prior knowledge of the Ontario One call system for locate submission
  • Ability to read locates a must
  • Proficient computer skills & knowledge of MS Excel
  • Effective communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts at all levels in verbal, written and electronic form
  • Good analytical skills, attention to detail and logical problem solver
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
