Analyst, Strategic Initiatives Group
What is the opportunity?
Do you excel in a fast-paced environment? Are you detail-oriented and a strong communicator? As an Analyst in the Capital Markets Strategic Initiatives Group you will be part of the high impact team that advances CM's business strategy globally.
In this role, you will support the implementation of plans to achieve growth, performance, employee engagement, and superior client experience for all RBC stakeholders.
What will you do?
- Facilitate data gathering for quarterly reporting and generate meaningful insights that inspire decision making and action
- Assist in preparing presentations for RBC CM Executives and RBC Board of Directors
- Aid in execution of strategic initiatives by providing business and financial expertise
- Perform ongoing competitive analysis to identify market best practices and analyze RBC CM's relative performance
- Collaborate across the enterprise to ensure ongoing strategic alignment across broader RBC strategic objectives
What do you need to succeed?
years' experience in Capital Markets, Management Consulting or similar strategy related role
- Strong problem solving including the ability to identify and resolve core challenges associated with ambiguous issues
- Experience in preparing materials and presentations for executive audiences with a high attention to detail
- High degree of numeracy and comfort with financial analysis; advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear, articulate analyses and / or presentations leveraging strong written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Selfstarter with and natural curiosity around client insights and competitor strategies
- Excellent collaborator with the ability to develop relationships across a variety of functional and business teams
- Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams and across global time zones
