ABOUT LIQUOR SERVICES
The Liquor Services Division supports progressive developments in the industry while building strong relationships with liquor stakeholders and collecting revenue for the General Revenue Fund.
It is responsible for managing the liquor supply chain in Alberta as well as providing Liquor Program Services, External Warehouse Services and Liquor Planning & Reporting Services.

JOB SUMMARY
To be successful in this position you must have a strong understanding of inventory accounting and audit techniques to assess the controls in place for inventory practices and recommend required changes.
The ability to work with a high level of autonomy is needed as this position is located remotely at the assigned warehouse and will be expected to exercise independent judgement for day-to-day operations.
Attention to detail is essential in order to effectively prioritize workload and problem solve a variety of unique operational issues in a timely manner.
Strong communication and conflict management skills are also required to work with warehouse staff and management and internal stakeholders within AGLC on a regular basis regarding daily operations and to be able to explain complex legislation to varying levels of staff and management.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- A twoyear diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting, audit or inventory management role is required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is needed.
- The following will be considered assets:
- Additional courses in auditing or fraud examination.
- Experience with JDE, SAP and/or Oracle or other inventory management software.
- Experience with warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of liquor legislation and policies.

- To be eligible to work for AGLC, you must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or eligible to work in Canada.
- As a condition of employment, you will be required to obtain a satisfactory security clearance and clean drivers abstract (if necessary) prior to employment.
