Description

We are currently seeking an English tutor to provide one-on-one instruction to a group of children who are new to the English language.


Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • No specific major required.
  • Must have been raised in Canada or the USA.
  • Proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Proficiency in Chinese (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Knowledgeable about Chinese and Canadian cultures.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian education system, having experienced it from elementary school through university.
  • Able to provide a detailed educational history on your resume, including school names and cities, starting from elementary school.
  • Enjoy interacting with children.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively with children (able to engage in childfriendly topics).
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Capable of providing oneonone instruction.
  • Capable of teaching small groups.
  • Possess strong communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Background in Education.
  • Possession of a teaching license.
  • Familiarity with English teaching methods for diverse groups.
  • Previous experience in teaching English.
  • Multilingual abilities (French, Spanish, etc.).
  • Willingness to work in China in the future.
  • Proficient in sports (e.g., swimming, soccer).

Salary:
$70k - $90k per year

From $70,000.00 per year
