Our Village of Riverside Glen, located in Guelph, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Full-Time BSO - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR of NURSING to join their LONG-TERM CARE village team.

Internally known as PERT - Personal Expressional Resource Team
**75 hours

Biweekly with weekend rotation approximately 1/5 weekends and on call rotation approximately 2x/year.**

To be successful as our new BSO - Assistant Director of Nursing Care, you will:

Have a current registration as a Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Maintain current Heart Save Level of CPR
Support training, collaboration and development of the PERT Team
Act as a Specialist Leader pertaining to all aspects of the Personal Expressions Resource Team
Experience working with BSO concepts and protocols
Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Assistant Director of Nursing Care role

It would be an asset if our new Assistant Director of Nursing Care has:

Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Health & Safety
Three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting
Education and Experience in BSO practices
Experience working in a Long-Term Care setting
