TF Energy Solutions is seeking an intermediate to senior BIAD specialist for a full-time, permanent role.

The BIAD is an accomplished and experienced (5+ years) BI professional with proven experience in financial & operational analytics, data visualization, data engineering and BI/analytics/data technologies.

Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, the BIAD Specialist is accountable for the design, implementation & support of TFES's analytic & data initiatives supporting its business & operational processes and reporting needs.

As a BIAD analyst in the trucking and logistics industry, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with executives, business users and stakeholders to understand TFES' reporting & analytical requirements.

Scope of work:


  • Executive level reporting & analytics. Design, develop, and support reports, visualizations, and interactive, drilltodetail dashboards that immediately & effectively communicate insights and critical operational KPIs enabling executive leaders to understand, respond to, and optimize financial & operational performance
  • Engage with operational and business stakeholders to understand and define their reporting/analytic requirements, translating them into effective & comprehensive Power BI artifacts
  • Create intuitive data visuals and user interface elements in Power BI to provide insightful _data stories_ for business users, management, and executives.
  • Share reports and dashboards across multiple teams and maintain user access policies to ensure the secure & proper use of data assets.
  • Drive user adoption of data visualization and analytics across the organization.
  • Develop ETL flows using Azure data integration & transformation technologies including Data Factory.
  • Produce ad hoc analyses, deep dives, and drilldowns on specific issues, topics, or areas of opportunity (e.g. process improvements).
  • Gather and document business requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders, endusers, technical and management teams, to create and enhance our software products that optimize fleet maintenance and management processes, support business growth, and provide value to our customers.

What you bring:


  • Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Proven 5+ years of experience as an analytics practitioner is required
  • Deep understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, best practices for analytics development
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience and skill in data manipulation, data engineering & semantic data modeling to provide highquality data for reporting & analysis
  • Well versed in data ops and the continuous delivery of reliable, highquality data
  • Reporting & visualization tools: Power BI
  • Microsoft Azure analytics & data platforms: Synapse (Fabric), DataBricks, Data Factory, SQL Database and other analytics tools in the Azure stack
  • Data warehousing concepts; data modeling; ETL processing
  • SQL for querying and manipulating data from relational databases
  • Process Workflows Design / Automation
  • Project management methodologies such as agile, waterfall
  • Generative AI, AI, Machine Learning working knowledge considered an asset
