Mentees, and work study students

Manage both the initial onboarding and continued training of all student staff and student leaders hired within

the portfolios of the Student Life Centre.

Manage assigned tasks/portfolios, as well as coaching and development for performance management.
Develop and implement strategies to build and retain student leaders and volunteers.
Create, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to the management of programs and services.
Actively participate on campus and offcampus / industry / community committees responsible for initiatives

that support student-relevant issues.

Provide detailed and accurate budgetary plans with ongoing monitoring of expenses for programs and initiatives

under portfolio

Student Support & Intervention

Support in maintaining and reviewing Early Alert (Care Program) system to: support Brescia community in

identifying students or situations of concern; provide coordinated, accessible, sustainable, and practical support

for students when needed.

As a resource to students in personal or academic crisis, make appropriate referrals to support services at

Western (Psychological Services, Student Health Services); Brescia (Academic Advising, Student Wellness

Educator, Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, Residence Life, Campus Ministry); or in London.

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE INCLUDE: - Undergraduate degree

Minimum of three years experience in Student Affairs or Education
Experience in leading and advising students
Experience in developing strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders
Completion of the Safe Talk Suicide Prevention Course would be an asset.
Strong listening and interpersonal skills a must.
