Mentees, and work study students

  • Manage both the initial onboarding and continued training of all student staff and student leaders hired within
the portfolios of the Student Life Centre.

  • Manage assigned tasks/portfolios, as well as coaching and development for performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build and retain student leaders and volunteers.
  • Create, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to the management of programs and services.
  • Actively participate on campus and offcampus / industry / community committees responsible for initiatives
that support student-relevant issues.

  • Provide detailed and accurate budgetary plans with ongoing monitoring of expenses for programs and initiatives
under portfolio

Student Support & Intervention

  • Support in maintaining and reviewing Early Alert (Care Program) system to: support Brescia community in
identifying students or situations of concern; provide coordinated, accessible, sustainable, and practical support

for students when needed.

  • As a resource to students in personal or academic crisis, make appropriate referrals to support services at
Western (Psychological Services, Student Health Services); Brescia (Academic Advising, Student Wellness

Educator, Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, Residence Life, Campus Ministry); or in London.

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE INCLUDE: - Undergraduate degree

  • Minimum of three years experience in Student Affairs or Education
  • Experience in leading and advising students
  • Experience in developing strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders
  • Completion of the Safe Talk Suicide Prevention Course would be an asset.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills a must.
