FACULTY OVERVIEW:

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The successful applicant will teach lower-level and upper-level courses on East Asia in some of the following areas:
Introducing Asia
- Religions of East Asia
- Cinema and Culture in East Asia (China and/or Japan)
- Folklore of China and Japan
- Ethnicity in China and Japan
- Gender in East Asia
- Special topics courses in areas of expertise

QUALIFICATIONS:
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- a cover letter that addresses their areas of interest and qualifications
- a current curriculum vitae
- a one-page statement of teaching philosophy
- evidence of teaching success (including course evaluations and syllabi from previous courses taught)
- a list of three professional references able to comment on their teaching ability and academic accomplishments.
SALARY INFORMATION:
Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
