Job Summary

As a LabVIEW & TestStand Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of automated test systems for our power electronics and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) assemblies. You will lead the creation of robust test architectures that validate product performance, ensuring our hardware meets rigorous functional and safety standards. Working at the intersection of R&D and Manufacturing, you will translate complex engineering requirements into high-performance automated test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Test System Development: Design and implement scalable automated test software using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand for functional validation and production testing.

Architecture & Framework Design: Develop reusable software modules, hardware drivers (DAQ, FPGA, Communication protocols), and custom TestStand process models to optimize test throughput.

Hardware-Software Integration: Specify and integrate test instrumentation (such as PXI, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Load Banks) and manage communication interfaces such as Modbus, RS232 and REST API.

Validation & Debugging: Perform deep-level troubleshooting of test code and hardware interfaces to ensure high repeatability and reliability (GR&R) of test results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Hardware and Software R&D teams to define test coverage and ensure products are designed for testability (DFT).

Documentation & Compliance: Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including software design descriptions, wiring diagrams, and validation reports to support internal quality audits.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Development Experience (3+ Years): Proven experience in automated test development within a high-power or industrial electronics environment.

NI Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in LabVIEW (Object-Oriented programming preferred) and TestStand (Sequence development and process model customization).

Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, signal conditioning, and power conversion (VFDs, Inverters, or Motor Control).

Language: Fluent in both French and English (written and verbal).

Bonus Skills

NI Certifications: CLD/CLA (Certified LabVIEW Developer/Architect) or CTD/CTA (Certified TestStand Developer/Architect).

Hardware Experience: Experience in reading schematic files, assembling test JIG setups.

Database & Connectivity: Knowledge of SQL database integration for test data logging and reporting.

Safety Standards: Familiarity with electrical safety standards relevant to automated test equipment (ATE).

The hiring process for this position will consist of 3 interviews:

• 1st interview with HR representative - 20 minutes via Google Meet - General discussion, confirmation of interest
• 2nd interview with the department's head - 30 minutes via Google Meet - General technical discussion
• 3rd interview with your future colleagues and supervisor - 1 hour on-site - In-depth technical discussion + tour of the office
