This position involves set up and operation of CNC milling machines to prescribed tolerances.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Responsible for setup and operation of CNC Mill
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, tables and various symbols regarding tolerances, surface finishes, etc.
Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
Program or perform program modifications
Monitoring of tools, fixtures, and machines
Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
Quality inspections
Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
Verify dimensions of parts machined using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Loading and unloading
Manual deburring of finished products
Perform basic maintenance of machines and keep track of preventative maintenance schedules.

Requirements:

Minimum 4 years CNC machining experience, consisting of machine setup & operation
Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
Ability to read and understand programs to a degree that will allow you to modify / edit programs.
General machinist certification an asset.
Ability to read & interpret blue prints, drawings, charts & tables.
Motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
