    Your function:

    I am looking for a Mechanical Project Manager for my client, an industrial machinery manufacturing specialist on Montreal's South Shore.

    This is a permanent position, 40 hours a week, in hybrid mode.

    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks :


    • Configure mechanical power transmission products and assemblies according to specifications. Communicate with suppliers to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
    • Design mechanical power transmission products, processes, tools and procedures required for project benefits.
    • Provide technical support to sales and make occasional visits to customers and periodic visits to suppliers. Occasionally participate in technicalcommercial exhibitions and market meetings. Distribute technical information relating to its product lines.
    • Collaborate with work teams and lead projects where its mechanical power transmission product lines predominate (light integration).
    • Carry out studies on the feasibility, design, operation and performance of new products. Recommend measures to improve product reliability. Design new mechanical power transmission systems or improve existing ones.
    • Participate in the costbenefit analysis for the manufacture of new parts and in the bid selection process with various suppliers.
    • Develop and maintain standards (norms or specific drawings) for the products (lines) under his/her responsibility, ensure their internal updating and distribution to the customer and/or supplier.
    • Participate in the development of test benches and procedures, in collaboration with test and prototyping technicians, as well as with the quality control team.
    • Provide technical advice on customer returns and complaints. Commission studies on the properties and characteristics of materials and components (chemical and physical analyses), as part of failure investigations.
    • Participate in drawing up inspection plans.
    • Perform any other tasks related to the job.

    Your profile:

    • BAC in mechanical engineering / DEC ) in mechanical or electromechanical engineering ;
    • Minimum 5 years' experience as a mechanical engineering project manager;
    • Good oral and written English, bilingual French.
    • Salary: From $75k and up depending on experience
    • Flexible work schedule: Arrival between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and possibility of telecommuting.
