Skills and Qualifications

Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
Post Secondary Education (2 years);
2-5 years of social media experience within a business setting
Expertise in multiple social media platforms
Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and Internet ranking for web content
Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
Ability to deliver creative content
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet firm deadlines
Multitasking and analytics skills
Northern experience, a definite asset
Airline experience, considered an asset
Ability to travel
Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset
Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada


Responsibilities:

Monitor internal social communications system, including Yammer
Assist with content development for articles promoting Canadian North and telling our story
Gather and maintain image bank for communications and social media purposes
Build relationships with key stakeholders across our network to help with telling our story
Strategize and execute digital marketing campaigns and gather and analyze results from those campaigns.
Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through social media platforms.
Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite and others.
Oversee the creating and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar.
Monitor, moderate and respond to customer comments.
Manage social media partnerships with other brands and influencers.
Research and establish or develop a media monitoring system appropriate for Canadian North.
Support, promote and create content from community engagement events organized by the Sales and Community Investment team.
Coordinate with Marketing & Communications team on strategic company awareness, brand promotions, and key service marketing and communications.
Research audience preferences and current trends.
Stay up-to-date on social media platforms for maximum effectiveness.
Daily social media monitoring and support with daily social media briefing notes.
Support, promote and create content from HR events, including Job Fairs.
Offer support and guidance to the Charters by Canadian North business in respect to social media accounts.
Coordinate translations with external parties.
Other duties as assigned.
