Position Description:

The IT Support Specialist will be part of the Cam Tran IT team. They will be responsible for the organization's networks and data.

They will install, maintain, and support the organization's computer systems, wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), intranets, individual computers, mobile devices, and more.

They will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and protecting the organization's data.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Setup, configure, and maintain essential IT operations including networking systems, cyber security, servers, firewalls, virtualization, backups, end user devices, printers, AV systems
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Maintain record of problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or enhancements.
  • Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors, developers, or technicians for service.
  • Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades, as required.
  • Maintain essential IT operations including networking, servers, firewalls, virtualization, backups, end user devices, printers, AV systems
  • Complete routine server and end user device maintenance, including patch management and system updates.
  • Integrating with multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams.
  • Aiding the deployment of the physical infrastructure, such as, Servers, Window Server OS, and SANS, in addition to troubleshooting of physical hardware and assisting in replacing parts and components.
  • Answer users' inquiries regarding software and hardware operations to resolve problems.

Qualifications:


  • Five experience in maintaining and administering a Microsoft Server environment, including physical and virtual technologies.
  • Experience with Network Infrastructure in multiOS client/server platforms; including disk imaging and Server Virtualization.
  • Two to three years of experience with database development and management software including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Pervasive PSQL..
  • Preferred knowledge of HP Enterprise systems, Hyper-V and VMWARE, PowerShell.
  • Strong Knowledge of barcodes and label printing.
  • Preferred knowledge of Zebra label printers and Bartender integration.
  • Understanding of IT Standards and Methodologies such as ITIL and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience with technology and software in a highpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with maintaining system uptime to support a highpaced manufacturing environment.

Skills:


  • Strong understanding of IT systems & environments
  • Computer Information Systems/Network background
  • Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills used to analyze, troubleshoot, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good English Language Written/Oral (mandatory)
  • Confidence in working autonomously or as member of a team
