Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this permanent, full-time role provides support to the team in the areas of financial analysis and basic property accounting.

This is an opportunity with exposure to a wide range of responsibilities in the Finance Department.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and adhoc management information reports
  • Provide analytical reporting and project support to senior management
  • Generate and maintain Excel budget template files
  • Prepare documents and records required by various municipalities across Canada for realty tax assessment purposes
  • Develop Excel models that help with decisionmaking
  • Process general ledger entries, service mortgage and property tax accounts
  • Maintain accurate and complete records and files
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with internal and external clients
  • Participate in special projects and other job responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the organization
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • One to two years of related experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree with an accounting major or equivalent certification
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately meet deadlines and manage large volumes
  • Yardi or related property management accounting software skills would be an asset
