MAINTENANCE PROGRAM MANAGER


Graymont is seeking a highly organized, motivated and self-directed individual to fill the position of Maintenance Program Manager (North America).

The Maintenance Program Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to Graymont's Maintenance Excellence Program and the Maintenance Support Group.

The Maintenance Program Manager is a fully remote position (depending on location) and can be located in one of the following states or provinces in North America:

Canada - BC, AB, MB, NB, QC

United States - WA, MT, UT, NV, WI, MI, MN, OH, IN, PA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant is expected to take a hands-on approach and will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide leadership and actively participate to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained in terms of safety, environment, quality, reliability and efficiency.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to ensure Graymont's Maintenance Excellence Program delivers value through achieving a high degree of asset reliability and operability to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, problem solving, and leadership skills while managing priorities, team workload, projects and initiatives.
  • Ensures synergy, alignment and coordination between maintenance initiatives/programs and other Graymont initiatives/programs (ex: process engineering, automation, decarbonization, etc.)
  • Maintains a continuous forward looking strategic view of Graymont's initiatives and enables team development and training to meet skills needs.
  • Coach, develop and evaluate direct reports. Ensure effective use of the Graymont performance management process to create and maintain a highperformance team.
  • Coordinate and guide the sustainability and continuous improvement of Graymont's Maintenance Excellence Program
  • Provide high quality training to maintenance and operations employees.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on the group activity and major assignments.
  • Proactively manage deployment of Maintenance Support Group to meet the needs of operations and to support Graymont business priorities.
  • Promote and facilitate sharing of maintenance related information amongst plants and other functional groups.
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout the US and Canada (travel requirement up to 30%)

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:


  • Technical certification or university degree in an engineering field or related trade.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance and/or operations in a heavy industrial environment
  • Previous experience demonstrating an advanced role in maintenance, reliability or operations leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Must have previous experience successfully managing a team of highperforming professional employees.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions in a short timeframe.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Selfdirected and highly motivated requiring mínimal direct guidance.
  • Skilled influencer. Able to work collaboratively and have influence in a crossfunctional capacity.
