Kelly Services' has partnered with a client in Waterloo, ON to recruit for a Logistics Coordinator

Temp to perm opportunity

Responsibilities:

Cross-Border Shipment Coordination (Canada–USA)

Plan and manage inbound and outbound cross-border shipments, ensuring on-time delivery while complying with USMCA and customs regulations.

Customs Documentation & Compliance

Prepare, review, and submit all required customs documentation, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, HS classification, and NAFTA/USMCA paperwork, ensuring compliance with CBSA and U.S. Customs.

Carrier, Broker & 3PL Management

Coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and 3PL partners to manage border crossings, resolve clearance issues, and optimize transit times and costs.

Shipment Tracking & Issue Resolution

Track cross-border shipments in real time, proactively address border delays, inspections, or documentation discrepancies, and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders.

Cost Control, Reporting & Process Improvement

Monitor duties, taxes, freight costs, and lead times; analyze KPIs (OTIF, border clearance time, landed cost); and recommend process improvements to streamline cross-border operations.

Requirements:

Microsoft Excel, is well organized, has a good command of the English language and familiar with transportation.
