THE POSITION


The finisher is responsible for ensuring the are working on the correct job to meet deadlines and they proactively bring up and fix flow issues to allow more efficient output.

This includes planning the finishing production schedule, quality control, training, defect diagnostics and performing finishing work. You will be expected to Use Lean management principles Efficiently, Kaizen and Kanban in your daily routine.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experienced (3+ years of finishing experience)
  • Excited to learn and execute Lean principles
  • Previous experience with paint spraying and finishing techniques with paints/stains/glazes
  • Experience working in a finishing booth
  • Experience working with a finishing line
  • Good eye for detail and color and strong color matching ability/color palette understanding
  • Ability to maintain a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for customer service
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Multitasking, prioritizing and problemsolving abilities
  • Leadership and teamwork skills are a must
  • Must be computer literate and comfortable learning new software

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the finishing production schedule
  • Coordinate with shop management on daily and weekly finishing schedules
  • Ensure projects are being completed efficiently and on time
  • Study detailed cabinetry drawings to produce specific designs
  • Mix finish ingredients to obtain desired colors or shades
  • Ensure a sample is prepared and approved for every job
  • Inspect products during and after finishing process to ensure quality standards
  • Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and
  • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure quality, timeliness and efficiencies
  • Keep tools and work area clean
  • Ensure finishing line, spray booth and all finishing tools are properly maintained
  • Keep accurate records of procedures
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and request for replenishment
  • Be a team player, contribute to a positive team atmosphere
  • Other duties as assigned

$24.00-$29.00 per hour
