    Executive Assistant to the President and Secretary to the Board of Governors (CCNM - Toronto Campus)

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Executive Assistant to the President and Secretary to the Board of Governors . In this exciting and fast-paced role, you will report to the President and CEO and are accountable for ensuring that information, correspondence and reports emanating from the President's Office are of the highest professional standard. The successful candidate will provide secretarial support to the President, and to a lesser extent other members of the Senior Leadership Team; they will anticipate the need for various types and frequencies of information, generates and maintains the President's calendar and generally represents the Office of the President and the Board of Governors while exercising considerable judgment due to the confidential nature of the office. The Executive Assistant is also Secretary to the Board of Governors and is accountable for arranging meetings for the Board and its Committees, acts as recording secretary, prepares documentation and performs all other secretarial duties to the Board. The role is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the President's Office and support to the Board of Governors. CCNM follows government or site-specific requirements with respect to vaccination and proof may be required based on the nature of the role. Available: ASAP Onboarding for this position will be on-site and flexible work schedule will be determined based on operational needs. Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in administration/corporate communications/project management or related studies is required
  • Previous experience in a post-secondary institution and/or supporting a Board is an asset
  • Highly developed computer literacy in all range of administrative support programs such as Office 365 and databases is required
  • Knowledge of health care professions or naturopathic medicine is an asset
  • Excellent organization, analytical, research and time management skills with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively– both orally and in writing- with individuals at all levels within the organization and external stakeholders
  • Tact, discretion and ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
  • Proven ability to create and maintain organized information systems for projects and/or department including records management
  • The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan-Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
